( ...so if you haven't watched the last Children of Earth, you might not want to come under the cut )...on a non-Torchwood note, I got MGS3 in Games-X-Change today (though playing it will have to wait, since a. I want to finish FFXII first, and b. I FAIL SO BAD AT MGS), and the first volume of Saiyuki Reload came in the post. At least I have plenty of other fandoms to go distract myself with...*takes Saiyuki, goes to run bath* Again, I apologize for not getting on with all my overdue tags, but I was out all day, plus I didn't actually get any sleep last night due to the fallout from last night's Torchwood - both in terms of the fandom reaction and the amount of coffee it made me want to drink, which in turn made me join in the fandom noise rather more than usual. So I'm going to go to bed tonight. I'm sorry. I'm a total flake. Tags: i am fail, spoilers, torchwood Current Music: Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter - Iron Maiden

So, I finally started working on an app for Discedo, which is probably a bad idea given that I am going to completely fail to keep up with the activity level of it, even if I do get in. I can't keep up with TST half the time, for crying out loud *stares at pile of tags* But that's not the point. The point is that I was looking at the Discedo Taken Characters list... ...and I saw that someone plays Enkidu. THIS IS THE MOST AWESOME THING EVER. Yes I know I say that about a lot of things. There are a lot of most awesome things ever. BUT STILL.Tags: rp

Currently playing Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations: There are so many things to find annoying/just plain creepy about Armstrong. So why is it that the thing that irritates me the most is the way he keeps using 'la' with words that are blatantly either: - masculine - plural - in need of an indefinite article - or not even nouns? LOL GRAMMAR NAZI ¬_¬ Tags: i am fail, languages

Agh. This is why I didn't go to the sixth-form ball last year.
I FUCKING HATE DRESS SHOPPING.
I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT. Come on, I'm not that weirdly shaped, why does nothing ever fit? Or, rather, the only things that do fit are horribly expensive and...don't look good on me.
90% of things I try on, just will not do up past the bottom of my ribcage. It's not even that I'm fat - that wouldn't be so much of a problem, because you can always get a bigger size. I just have wide shoulders and big breasts, so anything that fits around my waist won't do up, and anything that fits around the top is baggy and horrible around my waist.
And my friends who have sensible-sized boobs tell me they're jealous of mine. Fuck off! At least they can buy clothes.
But. They're not, like, weirdly big - I have D-cup breasts, and kind of man-shoulders, but they aren't massive. Just...a bit big. Plenty of people are that sort of size, so WHY DO THEY NOT MAKE CLOTHES FOR IT? And even more mystifying, why do they make clothes for it - but only in expensive shops selling clothes that are kind of obviously styled for more mature women and look kind of weird on me. It's at least half a bone structure thing, so if you have wide shoulders, it's not because you SUDDENLY DEVELOPED them at 30, is it? Agh.
So. I got a dress. Which isn't really a very ball-y dress, but was only thirty quid and I can wear again - and we're going shopping again next week to try and find something better. But it doesn't fit. I bought it because it looks from the front, zip part undone, like it fits. So I also got some ribbon and eyelets and I'm going to take out the zip and lace it up the back instead. Which should look fine, maybe even nicer than the original dress if I get it right, but I'm still annoyed as hell that I have to do it. It makes me feel like I'm some sort of freakish weird-shaped person, when I go round all the shops and nothing fits D: Even with normal everyday clothes, it's pretty hard to find women's jackets and shirts and things that fit.
Also if I was on my own I'd have ended up comfort-buying some not-dress thing that I did get along with, but Mum went with me and was doing the buying so that was a non-starter. Also I saw the sexiest boots in In Arcadia, and so much do want and they even fit perfectly, but £90 and I still owe Mum a ton of money because she loaned me a load to pay for the hotel room when I went to the Expo.
I still need to upload photos from that, don't I...
