Angry face time. Livejournal just ate all my icon keywords. WTF, LJ. W. T. F. *kicks* (On a more positive note, I got my anthropology essay back this evening. 73%~ I has a happy. Also, got the email from the teacher saying my essay is good, after getting back from the pub where the advanced kendo people had just spent half an hour telling the beginners how well they think we're doing. My ego is feeling veeeeery good right now :D) Tags: university

Not having to do stuff is great and all, but I really think I need to get back to having to do stuff XD I only seem to be able to get stuff done when I have lots of other stuff that needs doing too. Somehow lots of stuff can always get done, but if there's only a little bit that needs doing, it won't. So I'm eagerly awaiting the start of term for the reason that it should make me get off my arse and do stuff, as well as for the SHINY NEW UNI-STUFF! and the not having to be in the same house as my family all the time part. But in the meantime I still need to do stuff. First in my mind should probably be working out exactly what is going on with the JYM arrangements committee meeting this weekend, but what is ACTUALLY foremost in my mind is cosplay. LOL PRIORITIES. Sooo... I need to work out how to make Franziska von Karma sleeves. And I need to get hold of a toy dinosaur. And a blue wig because goddamn ebay sellers that don't actually deliver. And purple hair dye. These are my primary concerns right now. ...I am such a dork. Dork dork dork dork dork. Yay. Now I'm going to go climb on the scaffolding outside the house, since parents are out and sisters are watching Serenity and no-one will laugh at me. Unless I fall off and make a noise, which is entirely possible because I am NOT THE MOST ATHLETIC PERSON IN THE WORLD. Or the most coordinated. Tags: cosplay, i am fail, insanity, university

Hey guys, look what we did~I said it in the Meeting For Business and I'll say it again - twenty-two years is too long to spend discussing and tacitly supporting something without doing something. But we now have agreed changes to Quaker Faith and Practice, and JYM (the 16-18 year old section) have spent some time dancing around the common room cheering after this article was read out on Friday morning (which is why I linked it rather than one of the more up-to-date ones). Because we did agree the changes on Thursday, but the minute wasn't written until Friday, when we weren't in the session...and if it hadn't been in the news already, well, never underestimate the inertia of Quakers. When we do things, we do things, it just sometimes does take two decades to get us doing them... Tags: for the win, has a happy, quakers
